It’s easier to understand the big picture when you know what their interests are.
A person who is very defensive could have had past experiences of being bullied and looked down at, so they may now seek fame, power and respect so they can prove the haters wrong someday.
Such people hate being corrected – they do not like people who put them down or disagree with them. So when handling them, we must not point out what’s wrong, but tell them their opinion was great, then offer the differing opinion and use niceness to convince them to accept it.
In teamwork, all parties share the same goals and have best interests to achieve the best results together. No sane person fights for the sake of picking a fight. Especially as an ISFJ who seeks harmony, I will only KPKB when I want to protect what I love/is important to me. When I love, I love deeply and I won’t want to let it falter. Sometimes, I lose patience explaining myself.
I think it’s more dangerous to sit on the fence because you are too scared to pick a side or have no opinion.
